Description

A heavy squat should be limited by your legs, not by the bar grinding into your spine. The Stryde Squat Barbell Neck Pad wraps standard and Olympic bars in a thick layer of high-density foam so the load spreads evenly across the upper back and shoulders instead of concentrating on bone. The same pad turns hip thrusts and glute bridges from an exercise you endure into one you can actually load and progress.

The full-length fastening closes in a second and grips hard, so the pad stays exactly where you set it through a working set rather than creeping sideways between reps. Nitrile rubber construction holds its shape under repeated heavy use and wipes clean after a session, and at 45 cm long it covers the knurling on both sides of the centre of the bar for lifters of any width of stance.

It rolls up small enough to live in a gym bag permanently, which matters if you train somewhere that does not supply one. Position the pad centred on the bar and check it is seated before you unrack, and keep using a spotter or safety pins for working sets.
